One of the bigger pains of being a girl: getting a run in your nylons. For years, the best bet has been to keep a bottle of clear nail polish on hand…but this is so much easier!

This lets you skip the run in the first place!

You freeze them.

Yes, it sounds crazy but hear me out: there’s science behind it.

By putting tights in the freezer, it firms and strengthens the individual fibres of your tights and makes them less likely to ladder, or get a run.

The next time you buy a new pair (and before you wear them), run them under water until they’re damp. Put them in a plastic bag and freeze overnight. Take them out and give them a day to defrost and thaw out before you wear them.

That’s it! And if you manage to make it through the evening with the nylons unscathed, do it again after washing.

Who knows how long they might last for?!?

And, yes, this does help toughen up your tights too.
