Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Jeffery Austin and Jordan Smith – the final four for Season 9 of The Voice – each had the chance to bring back an artist from earlier in the competition to perform with one last time before the winner was finally awarded.

Coldplay performed their new single “Adventure of a Lifetime,” Pharrell, who didn’t have an artist in the finale this season, was on stage with Missy Elliott to perform her new single “WTF (Where They From),” Sam Hunt performed “Break Up in a Small Town” for the first time on national television, The Weeknd sang a medley of The Hills,” “Earned It” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” and Justin Bieber closed out the night with a performance of his new single “Sorry,

Finally, after 2 hours of amazing performances, Jordan Smith was crowned the winner of The Voice’s ninth season; Team Adam’s third win of the competition.

Not a huge shock really, considering just last week, the 22-year-old’s cover of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” temporarily dethroned Adele’s top spot on the iTunes singles chart. Plus, he was my mom’s hands-down favourite and she’s getting pretty good at calling who’s going to win. Haha.

Smith reprised Monday night’s performance of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” from The Sound of Music after Daly announced his victory.

With the win, Jordan Smith receives $100,000 and a recording deal with Republic Records. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more from him soon!
