Evenflo is recalling over 56,000 child safety seats because there’s the possibility your child could loosen the internal harness.

If the harness doesn’t fit snugly, that increases the chance of injury.

Evenflo says the problem only affects the seats when they’re used as forward-facing harnessed boosters and no injuries have been reported, but they are notifying owners and will send a kit with a new seat pad and front adjuster assembly.

The company says in government documents that the central front adjuster button that loosens the harness may be within a child’s reach.

The seat affected is the Transitions 3-in-1 Car Seat that was sold in the US
Model Numbers: 34411686, 34411695 and 34411029
DATES OF MANUFACTURE: Transitions seats manufactured prior to January 29, 2016 are included

Evenflo is sending a free remedy kit to affected customers. If you haven’t registered your safety seat, the remedy kit is available by placing an order with Evenflo or calling 1-800-490-7591. Please do not return these convertible car seats and harnessed boosters to retailers.
