A reimagining of Disney’s 1977 family film, “Pete’s Dragon” is the story of a boy named Pete who lives in the forest with his best friend Elliott.

Grace is a forest ranger, who grew up listening to stories her father told about a fierce dragon who lived in the same forest. She wants to find out the truth about Pete; where he comes from and where he belongs.

Pete’s Dragon: Some Secrets Are Too Big To Keep

This movie is especially exciting to us at KiSS because there’s an awesome local connection.

Brenda, who works here at the station (and is fantastic), is pretty dang proud of her kids. It’s well deserved too. They’re pretty great.

Her daughter, Brooke Storry, travelled from Stonewall to New Zealand to work as the Assistant to the Director in Pete’s Dragon AND worked in the Post Production Studios! Plus, her boyfriend, Eric Zachanowich, was one of the stills photographers for the shoot.

Pete’s Dragon hits theatres August12th.
