Canadian heartthrob Ryan Gosling is teaming up again with “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle for “First Man”, a biopic focusing on astronaut Neil Armstrong. Gosling has been in talks about the project since late 2015 and a deal was finally reached this month.

The project adapts the book First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong by James Hansen and has a script by Josh Singer, the Oscar-winning co-writer of Spotlight.

Gosling recently wrapped production on Blade Runner 2049 with Harrison Ford. First Man is planning to shoot next year.
