Three GRAMMY Awards ago, Twenty One Pilots won the GRAMMY for ‘Best Pop Duo / Group Performance’ for their massive hit ‘Stressed Out.’  Seconds before Josh and Tyler walked on stage, they took their pants off and accepted the award … in their underwear! Josh shared, “This story, it starts in Columbus, Ohio.  It was a few years ago.  It was before Josh and I could make money playing music.  As we were watching [the Grammys], we noticed every single one of us was in our underwear.  We said, ‘If we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this!'”

 

 

 

 

Three years later, Camila and Shawn Mendes are up for the same award and well, Camila was thinking about doing the same – accepting the award in their underwear! “If Shawn and I win the Grammy, we will walk onstage in our underwear like Twenty One Pilots did. That’s a promise.  Just kidding. It’s not. I gotta work out before I do that,” Camila shared.

Earlier this week, Camila shared her thoughts on being nominated alongside her boyfriend, Shawn, “It feels really special to get to share that kind of experience with someone that is first and foremost my friend that I’ve known for such a long time.  He was actually the first person, I think, that I wrote a song with, which was when we did our collaboration ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’ And just kind of like flashing back to then, when we were just two kids in a dressing room… like writing a song really quickly and just being so excited about that to being excited about this song. And we’ve grown up so much, and getting to experience something so prestigious with him is really cool.”
