For the third time this month, a recall has been issued involving Christmas lights sold under the Holiday Collection brand by Canadian Tire stores. It says the lights should not be used and can be returned to Canadian Tire stores for a refund.

The Christmas lights were determined to “pose a fire and electric shock hazard to consumers” after they were tested by Health Canada. It’s recommended people who have purchased the lights should immediately stop using them and return them to Canadian Tire for a refund.

The recall includes another 33 types of Holiday Collection lights sold by Canadian Tire after Aug. 1st, in addition to 12 types identified two weeks ago.

The previous recalls of lights sold by Canadian Tire were issued on Dec. 1st, and a week later, on Dec. 7th.

The recall does not include Noma lights — which are another brand carried by Canadian Tire.
