Do you have a post-Christmas plan yet? The city will have eleven Let’s Chip In depots open from December 27 until January 20 where you can not only bring your real, unbagged Christmas tree but also, starting in January, can help yourself to free wood chips as long as you bring your own container.

Yes, you can bundle your Christmas tree for yard waste collection. The bundle must be no longer than one metre (39 inches) and contain small branches (no more than 10 cm or 4 inches in diameter). Anything larger will not be picked up!

For a small fee, SSCOPE, Inc., a Winnipeg non-profit organization, will pick up your Christmas tree and transport it to a depot. You can call them at 204-987-6300 for details.
