We’ve been hearing that Adele is working on new music but here is definitely proof…sung by Sia!

Sia released a new song today that she co-wrote with Adele and indie singer-songwiter Tobias Jesso Jr. called “Alive.” It was originally meant for Adele to sing herself and you can sure hear tones of the British singer’s style in the track. The heavy pounding base line and the epic vocal lines. Not to mention, it’s actually about Adele!

In an interview with RTV Slovenija, she mentioned Alive…“It’s about [Adele’s] life, so I now sing a song from [Adele’s] perspective.”

And that’s what Sia’s new album, This Is Acting, is all about. It consists of songs she wrote or helped to write that were originally intended for other artists to sing.

“I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go in thinking ‘this is something I would say,’” she told NME. “It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun.”

The album makes a lot of sense considering before to the Australian songwriter becoming a global pop star, Sia had written for Beyoncé, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Flo Rida, Ed Sheeran, and more.

By the way, the rumour is still that Adele’s new album 25 will be out on November 25th.
