If you’re one of those people who goes straight for the morning coffee, you may want to re-think how you start your day!

Youtube channel ASAP SCIENCE says drinking coffee first thing in the morning is actually not a good idea!

What? Blasphemy! But it’s true, you should stay away from drinking coffee first thing in the morning because we have a ton cortisol in our bodies in the morning and caffeine  will slow the production of cortisol,(it’s the hormone that’s released when we’re stressed or have low blood glucose levels. Because of these lower levels of the hormone, the body relies on caffeine to make up for it.)

So when SHOULD you enjoy your first hit of java every day?  Well, if you base it on your cortisol production schedule, anytime between 10 a.m. – noon and 2 p.m. –  5 p.m.
