We need this in Winnipeg!

Winnipeg has SO many great sites to visit, history to learn, and stories to share. On the retail and restaurant side we have the best of both world’s between delightful independent restaurants and shops and big-city chains and brands. But vacations are usually the time when you discover something new and end up with a yearning for a food or shop that’s just not available…does this happen to you?

Cows Ice Cream

PEI is known for Anne of Green Gables, Red Soil, and Lobsters, but have you ever heard of COWS ice cream? It’s a PEI staple…some of the creamiest, tastiest ice cream you will ever have. Admittedly it melts SUPER fast, however you end up eating it pretty quick because it’s super good. Their cones are freshly made waffle cones (with just a hint of almond flavour which is delightful). It’s a special treat I thought was only available on the east coast; however, after a trip to Banff I had a shocking revelation…they have a COWS ice cream!

Let’s Get One Here!

PEI is a lot closer to Winnipeg than it is to Banff, so if they could ship their tasty ice cream flavours of Gooey Mooey, Cow-conut, and more all the way there, surely they can be sent to Winnipeg too?

What food or shop do you wish you could get here in Manitoba that we don’t have?
