Duets

Pink has an incredibly distinct voice. You won’t confuse her with Kelly Clarkson, Brittney Spears, or any other artist out there. Pink sounds like Pink which is why she’s so great. She has this powerful voice that just fills the speakers or your earbuds. There’s a little bit of a rasp to it. It’s strong, loud, and unique. So when Pink announced she was doing a duet with a country artist, it did NOT sound like a good idea.

Setting The World On Fire

Kenny Chesney is a country artist famous for songs like She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy and his brief marriage to actress Renee Zellweger. He has been known to do some interesting duets (Jimmy Buffet, Kid Rock, and George Strait to name a few), so it wasn’t totally strange to hear that he saved a spot on his current album for a song with Pink. It IS strange how INCREDIBLE the two sound together. I was completely sceptical of this duet, but upon first listen, I hit repeat three times and then proceeded to listen to it all weekend.

Unlikely Duets That Work

What collaborations do you love that seem like they just shouldn’t work? Sean Paul and Simple Plan? Eminem and Dido? Brad Paisley and Demi Lovato? Tim McGraw and Nelly? Make sure to let us know!
